Bullying is when someone keeps doing or saying things to have power over another person. Bullying is a way people take their anger out; statistics say that over 30% of teens are regularly involved in bullying. There are several reasons why people bully; some people have been bullied themselves, often at home by parents or people in their family. Or some may be bulling someone to seem tough so that they won’t get bullied by others. Akanksha a grade 10 student said “Bullying is a way to curtisize people’s way of living.”
Bullying can affect people in all kinds of ways, low self-esteem, depression and thinking about hurting themselves or others. Most of the times it’s the parents fault because they are the people who raise then and teach them how to behave. In our school it’s an issue that grade nine students are being bullied by students in higher grades. If a child is being bullied, he or she should always talk over what to do with a friend, a teacher, their mum or dad, or an adult they can trust. Maninder a grade 10 student said “Teachers can help them by discipline in schools and parent should keep track of the record of the school.” Police can help stop bullying by lecturing students and preparing slideshows and role-plays in schools.
